Four Zelda Games in Fourty Eight Hours

Everyone and their mother is watching this (about 700-800 people right now) and I don't know what it is about it, but it's really freaking interesting.

The idea is it's a few college friends, four I think, and they are playing through all four of the 3-D Zelda games in two days, 48 hours for those of you whom don't know basic conversions.

That means they're playing:

  1. Ocarina of time
  2. Majora's Mask
  3. Wind Waker
  4. Twilight Princess
The whole event started on Friday, January 11th at 5PM CST and it's set to end on Sunday, January 13th at 5 PM CST. So far they've already gotten through Ocarina of Time and are trekking through Majora's Mask.

They're taking donations for pizza, and anything extra goes towards charity. Last I heard was they had about 200 dollars set aside for charity earned, so if you've got some extra cash and time go check them out and give them some cash for their hard works.

I know I'm going to be checking in and out to see if they actually can accomplish their goal. So go check out their blog (which has the live feed embedded into the post) and waste your day before the whole event is over tomorrow.

BYAH!!!!!!!

Sweeeeeeet First post!

Its no secret that I am a huge Phoenix Wright fanboy. Nothing fills my heart with joy more than shouting "HOLD IT" at my DS in the middle of the night, waking my parents. So imagine my joy....and my parents dismay when Capcom announced the release date of the next installment in the Ace Attorney series.

Woot!

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Debuts in America on February 12. This is the first game in the series made specifically for the DS, making better use of the DS's Touch screen and and built in Microphone.

I hope the this game keeps up with the kick-ass story and humor that I've grown to love over the years.

(edit-There is a Fan Translated demo out.....Only the first few lines are done...http://gs4.isamedia.org/play.html)

Let's Start Off With A Bang

So for my first post on this brand spanking new blog I thought I'd refer to some interesting news from Insomniac Games.

If you haven't heard yet, Resistance Fall of Man 2 was announced! (rumored for Fall of '08) Not much is known yet, but it has been said that RFOM2 will feature 8 player co-op, for those of us whom actually have that many friends, family, cousins, neighbors, or homeless people hanging around often enough to play it, new vehicles, two campaigns, aaaaaaand 60 player online matches.

Sixty freaking players.

This is the whole reason why we set up the poll over there *points at sidebar* about it being the Halo Killer. From what I've heard so far there will be plenty of personalization going on with the online leader boards, even a -rumored- dedicated website to keeping track of scores, groups, and whatever else they can come up with over there at Insomniac.

If they manage to pull off enough dedicated servers for group matches that large, with low enough lag, and high enough replay ability/fun factor, we may finally have a First Person Shooter worthy of being Halo's competitor. This could force Bungie into having to come up with even more revolutionary tactics for the series. Because, come on let's be honest. Did anything really change between Halo 2 and Halo 3 besides some AI tweaks and a few weapons? Didn't think so.

So far there are only a couple of press screens from the game located here.

I'm crossing my fingers for this one, the first Resistance was great and I'm hoping for the second one to go above and beyond.
