Apocalypse Strikes Fallout 3 Survival Edition Stock (Sold-Out)

I was planning on buying the Survival Edition of Fallout 3 on the PS3 from Amazon.com (only place you can get it dontchaknow) but it seems that the old saying is true. I snoozed, and I losed. Er..lost...

The whole stock of the Survival Edition has been snatched up by excited Playstation 3 owners, no doubt wanting the life-sized Pip-Boy 3000 replica, but the 360 and Games For Windows remain up for grabs.

If you missed it, the Survival Edition includes:

* Fallout 3 (yes, it has the game)
* A life-size replica of the Pip-Boy 3000, the wrist-mounted device worn by characters in the game.
* Vault Boy Bobblehead: Your very own Vault Boy collector’s item is direct from Vault-Tec.
* The Art of Fallout 3: Features nearly 100 pages of never-before seen concept art and commentary from Bethesda Game Studios artists.
* The Making of Fallout 3 DVD: An exclusive, inside look at Bethesda Game Studios and the team behind the game.
* Vault-Tec Lunch Box: A fully customized metal lunch box.

Fallout 3 could be getting DLC

Following the pattern with previous RPGs produced by Bethesda, many are speculating that Fallout 3 will have DLC of some kind. While there has been no official word, Bethesda's marketing head Pete Hines had this to say about DLC:

"Given how successful it was for us on Oblivion, certainly it's a given that we'll look into it and what we'd like to do," he said in regards to extra content for the post-apocalyptic RPG. "But I can't tell you when, I can't tell you what it would be, or what it would look like. Will it be bigger stuff like Knights of the Nine or smaller stuff? We've no idea. We'll let folks know once we get down the road."

Kinda vague, but it seems Bethesda will be doing DLC. Lets just hope it won't turn into another horse armor fiasco.

Fallout 3 to have over 200 endings

In a recent appearance on OXM's podcast, Bethesda's executive producer Todd Howard shares the latest development news on his company's latest RPG, Fallout 3. According to Howard, Fallout 3 is finished and is now in the polishing phase.

When asked about all multiple endings, Howard stated,

"Being that we are Bethesda, everything gets a bit big, so as of last week we're over 200 endings. That's not an exaggeration."

Thats right, over 200 endings will be present, though don't expect them all to be radically different from each other. Player decisions and other factors influence the small additions and changes made to the ending.
